Shen Li advises Xiao He to leave but she can’t accept it. She insists on seeing Gu Cheng Jin, who was once her lover. Shen Li and Xing Yun can’t change Xiao He’s mind. So, they bring her to Gu Cheng Jin so that she can give up completely. They see Gu Cheng Jin guarding Ye Shi at the cost of his own life and it infuriates Xiao He. In the end, Xiao He chooses to sacrifice herself for Gu Cheng Jin and finally, Ye Shi regains her consciousness. Shen Li is furious. She knows that Gu Cheng Jin is just putting on an act in front of Xiao He to force her to sacrifice herself. She detests that behavior and says that if she likes a man, she will have all of him. She won’t allow that man to deceive and plot against her. She also tells Xing Yun that he’s free to marry anyone he likes. Xing Yun is heavily poisoned.
